The latest happened Monday afternoon when a trooper was investigating a car that spun out of control after driving through standing water on I-94.

That's when another car did the same thing and spun into the path of a semi-truck. The truck hit the car, causing that vehicle to hit the police car.

The officer inside the police vehicle had to be extricated and was transported to the hospital, officials said.
