CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Two people were hurt when fire broke out Tuesday morning at an apartment building for seniors in Lincoln Park.
The fire started in a sixth-floor apartment at the Edith Spurlock Sampson building at 2640 N. Sheffield Avenue, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
Two people on the sixth floor were taken to a hospital in good condition. Several other elderly residents were evaluated on the scene.
The fire was contained to one apartment. The cause was under investigation.
