A 19-year-old U.S. Navy Sailor is behind bars in Illinois, accused of shooting 10 people in South Carolina.
Shawon Shamarion Williams was arrested Thursday afternoon in Lake County, IL.
The sailor was a hull maintenance technician seaman, assigned to Naval Station Great Lakes near North Chicago.
Cellphone video shows the chaotic shooting scene from Memorial Day weekend. Ten people were shot as they got off a boat in Little River, South Carolina.
Police said a private charter boat had just docked when a fight led to the shooting.
Williams is expected to be charged with multiple counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime — and more people may be arrested in the case.
Williams was booked in the Lake County Jail on a fugitive of justice charge and is expected to appear in court Friday.
