Starting in Autumn 2027, the University of Chicago will offer free tuition to undergrads of families with annual incomes below $250,000.
The college says it also will cover all expenses of tuition, fees, housing and meals for families with annual incomes below $125,000.
The University of Chicago says it wants to provide an education that is transformative and affordable.
