Feds investigate unknown liquid that caused evacuation of Bolingbrook police station

BOLINGBROOK (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Bolingbrook closed the lobby of the police department Monday over concerns about an unknown liquid that was dropped off.

“One female subject and two male subjects arrived at the Bolingbrook Police Department to turn in a liquid substance, which allegedly contained an unknown poison,” the department wrote in a press release.

The fire department was called in for a hazardous materials response and those who came into contact with the liquid were quarantined.

Police said no one had an adverse reaction and no one needed medical attention.

The fire department was trying to identify the liquid and police asked that anyone who has information to contact police.

The substance is now in the hands of the FBI for analysis. Bolingbrook police have asked anyone with information to contact authorities.
