(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Skiers will have to wait a bit longer to hit the slopes at Villa Olivia in Bartlett.
It's not because of a lack of snow. Chris Randel of Villa Olivia says the facility has equipment to make snow.
But the weather has to be cold enough so that the snow doesn’t melt.
It doesn’t help, Randel said, that temperatures are rising over the next few days, including predicted highs in the 50s on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
