WARRENVILLE (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A Warrenville man charged with murdering his wife made a court appearance Wednesday where a judge ordered that he be held until the trial.

Steven Kramer, 39, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

It's alleged that he shot his wife Jaime Newman, who was 47, multiple times during an argument in their home.

The DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office said  police responded to a call of a cardiac arrest/death at the home on Mulberry Court at about 11 a.m. last Thursday, Sept. 5.

Kramer directed them to an upstairs bedroom. She had been shot six times, once between the eyes.
