(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Animals at Brookfield Zoo Chicago made the most of the season’s first snowfall, which coated much of the area in 2 – 4 inches of snow on Thursday.
Photos and videos shared by the zoo showed Hudson the polar bear rolling around in their snowy enclosure while playing with a ball. Another showed brown bears Tim and Jess chasing each other through the wintry scene.
The zoo’s Mexican wolves also got out to enjoy the snow day. They went from chasing each other around the enclosure to curling up on the grass. Zoo Spokeswoman Julianne Olivo said the snow helped the wolves show off “some of their unique abilities to camouflage in different seasons.”
