CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A group at Loyola University were among several local college students robbed over the weekend.

University leaders said the three students were standing outside of a campus residence hall in the 6200 block of North Kenmore early Saturday morning when a gray four-door sedan pulled up. The suspects, described as four men donning black and red ski masks and armed, demanded the students’ phones, wallets and other belongings.

No injuries were reported.

Loyola campus police officials said in a statement that the incident remains under investigation, and “the safety and well-being of the Loyola community is always of paramount importance and a top priority.”

Also under investigation are weekend robberies on the Lincoln Park campus of DePaul University, where authorities said at least four students were robbed, one was pistol whipped by a suspect.
