CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago Police are investigating three related armed robberies that occurred in a span of 15 minutes Monday night.
Each incident involved a White Kia sedan and four young males. Two were armed with rifles and two with handguns, police said.
The first occurred on the 2300 block of West Thomas at about 10:30 p.m.
Police said the four jumped out of the car with the weapons and robbed a man on the sidewalk.
Two minutes later, three males on a sidewalk were robbed at gunpoint on the 2900 block of North Albany.
And 13 minutes after that, police said, they targeted a female security guard who was walking into an apartment building on the 1500 block of West Warren. In that incident, the woman was struck in the face and robbed.
She refused medical attention.
Nobody was hurt in the other robberies.
