CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A Chicago landmark has launched a series that gives students and teachers an educational break from their virtual classrooms.

For both teachers and students, Zoom fatigue may be starting to setting in. In hopes of shaking things up for both parties, officials with the Willis Tower are rolling out a new option.

"What we've done with our virtual field trip series is create lessons that tell the story of how its transformed itself from street to sky," Community Marketing Specialist with EQ Office at the Tower Lydia Jordan-Parnell said. "There's also some history in there."

Jordan-Parnell said future virtual field trips will extend to other subjects like math, art, and geography.

They're also hoping to serve as a trendsetter in the age of e-learning.

"I really do hope that cultural institutions and spaces across Chicago and the country are energized and excited to be creative and think about ways that they can also extend a hand," she said.
