Coincidence? Bank robber strikes while Wisconsin police investigate fake bomb threat

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Police in Pleasant Prairie, Wis., are investigating a simultaneous bank robbery and bomb threat that happened Saturday afternoon.

Police said around 12:30 p.m., officers received a call of a potential bomb threat at the Costco on 94th Avenue. They evacuated and secured the building.

At the same time, just seven miles away, a Chase Bank was robbed.

Police later deemed the bomb threat unfounded, and no one was hurt in the robbery.

Officials described the suspect in the bank robbery as a man between 40 – 50 years old and said he was dressed in all black.
