MOUNT PROSPECT (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - One of the people shot in what police are describing as a domestic incident Monday in the northwest suburbs has now died.

Initially, Mount Prospect said two people were wounded in a shooting in a parking garage of a condo building on Northwest Highway. They were a 53-year-old man, who was left in critical condition, and a 63-year-old woman, who was alert and talking, after the shooting at around 5 p.m.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said Michael Work of Shorewood, Wisconsin has died.

Police called him an “offender” but did not offer specifics.

No one else was injured, and a regional task force is helping police with their investigation.
