
SKOKIE (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Skokie police are looking for information in a crash that left a 70-year old woman pedestrian dead Thursday.
Skokie Police said the woman was crossing Howard Street near Skokie Boulevard when a vehicle traveling east on Howard hit her. The 70-year old woman was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston where she was pronounced dead.
Skokie police said the driver remained at the scene. As for any tickets or charges, police said the matter is still under investigation.
The North Region Major Crimes Task Force, Major Crash Assist Team is working with Skokie Police in the investigation. Officials ask anyone with information about the crash to call Skokie police or the 24-hour Skokie Crime Tip Hotline, 847-933-TIPS.
