(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A woman is being accused of a hate crime after allegedly throwing a Molotov cocktail on her neighbors' porch in Logan Square last year.

Ana Hernandez, 69, faces one count of aggravated arson and one count of hate crime for allegedly throwing the explosive on the back porch of her neighbors' home near Armitage and Kimball in March of last year.

According to an arrest report, Hernandez was captured on video throwing the explosive onto the back porch of her neighbors' home.

Prosecutors say the neighbors are both Venezuelan and that the attack was an attempt “to injure, intimidate and interfere” with the home’s occupants because of “their race, color and national origin.”

Hernandez is scheduled for arraignment Jan. 15.
