(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The search is on for the woman who was seen on camera trashing the Island Lake Police Department’s lobby early Tuesday morning.

Island Lake police posted surveillance footage to Facebook, which can be seen below. The video shows the woman entering the lobby on Greenleaf Avenue at around 3:41 a.m.

The woman is seen flopping down onto a couch, flipping off the camera and then putting up her hood.

Over the next 30 seconds, the woman can be seen yanking pamphlets and flyers from their shelves and tossing them into the air, as well as ripping shelves and a bulletin board down from the wall.

She is then shown leaving the scene, but not before she also pushed some items off of the front desk.

Police said the woman was driving a dark-colored, possibly red or maroon, sedan. The motive behind the destruction is not known.

Anyone with information regarding the woman’s identity was urged to call Island Lake police.
