A 33-year-old woman was given several citations after she ran a red light and plowed into a police car Thursday night in Fuller Park on the South Side.

Around 10:50 p.m., the officers were in a marked squad car going north in the 4200 block of South La Salle Street when a silver sedan going west ran a red light and struck them, Chicago police said.

The officers were taken to an area hospital where they were in good condition, police said.

The sedan driver, a 33-year-old woman, was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center and was in good condition, officials said.

The woman was issued four citations: disobeying a red light, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating a vehicle without registration.
