(CHICAGO WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Among the topics discussed by hundreds that rallied Saturday in Federal Plaza before marching through the Loop, supporting candidates this November that support human rights and women’s rights.
Promoting democratic and independent parties, many at the rally told WBBM that they feel the GOP doesn’t hold up to their values.
Also in discussion was the United States Supreme Court. Among those that say more judges should be added for balance is Jan Seymor.
"It may have to come to that I think, because it's not right," she said.
Representing those at the women’s rights rally who disagree with that prospect is Prudence Sullivan.
"I don't think it should be increased, because the other side can play that game too," she said. "We just have to elect people that are gonna put in Supreme Court justices who support our values."
At this national day of action for women rally there were two things concerning the Supreme Court that does appear to have a consensus.
"I don't think Supreme Court Justices should be appointed for life. I think it should be a term," Sullivan said.
Seymor also said that there should be term limits for the justices.
