(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Guess what age group is being scammed the most? The answer may surprise you.
The Better Business Bureau has a new report showing people aged 18-24 reported losing more money to scams than older age groups.
The top three riskiest scams for 18 to 24-year-olds are employment, online purchases, and cryptocurrency.
Employment scams make up almost 30% of scams reported and are especially risky, because they represent the highest median dollar loss of over $1,800.
Here are some valuable tips:

-Research companies before you buy online, and if you are applying for a position.
-Verify the job offer before handing over your vital personal information.
