(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – Milwaukee police swarmed a brewery complex Wednesday afternoon in what the mayor says was a "horrific" workplace shooting that resulted in "multiple fatalities."
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel said at least seven people were dead, including the shooter, on the campus of Molsoon Coors Brewing Co. Mayor Tom Barrett said several were dead and that police were sweeping the scene as a precaution.
"It is a horrible, horrible day for the employees here," Barrett told reporters.
Milwaukee police said there was no active threat as of 4:45 p.m. but urged the public to avoid the area.
An employee of the company told WISN-TV that an email said an active shooter was near one of the buildings.
