A sports fan in Iowa has stuck out his neck to predict the winner of Super Bowl 57.
Bakari, a baby giraffe living at Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines, has selected the Kansas City Chiefs to win Sunday's game.
"Bakari took his time pondering his pick this morning," zoo spokesman Ryan Bickel said in a statement on Wednesday. "It's a big decision."
To determine Bakari's pick, zookeepers set up a Chiefs logo and a Philadelphia Eagles logo, adorning each with a bunch of leaves.
"Each logo had a similar number of branches with green leaves on it, so as not to influence the decision," the zoo noted.
The tiny giraffe chose to eat the leaves from the Chiefs' logo, Bickel said.
Apparently, Bakari isn't the only giraffe pulling for Kansas City. His mother, Zola, quickly joined her son in munching down on the Chiefs' leaves.
"She went straight to the Kansas City logo," the zoo said.
Will the giraffes' prediction come true? It's quite likely -- officials say animals at the Blank Park Zoo have been correct in picking the winner nine out of the last 12 Super Bowl games.
