A Florida man has been accused of grabbing a pregnant woman outside of her home and threatening her and her husband with a knife, according to local police.
58-year-old Philip Felix, of Clearwater, Florida, reportedly got into an argument with the woman and her husband on Tuesday morning, according to an arrest affidavit from the Clearwater Police Department obtained by WFLA.
According to the affidavit, Felix was blocking the couple’s door, not letting them by, before he grabbed the woman by her butt, attempting to pull her inside the home. He was unsuccessful in doing so as her husband stopped him.
Felix then allegedly grabbed a “red kitchen knife,” waving it at the two, saying he was going to kill them. It was at this point the victims fled from the scene and contacted the police.
While speaking with the police, Felix said he had only been in a verbal argument with them and that he knew the woman was pregnant.
He has since been arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery on a pregnant woman.
He is currently being held in Pinellas County Jail.
