Police have turned to the public for help in identifying a "good Samaritan" who stole an elderly woman's credit card in Washington.

The incident dates back to December, when an 85-year-old woman got stuck in her driveway during a massive snowstorm in Mountlake Terrace, about 14 miles north of Seattle.

A man stopped to help and offered to move the woman's car out of her driveway, which he did and went on his way.

It wasn't until 10 days later that the woman realized her credit card, which she'd left in her car, was missing, according to Mountlake Terrace Police. Her checkbook was also missing, although no checks had been written.

The woman contacted the credit card company and found the "good Samaritan" had gone on a shopping spree with her card, racking up more than $1,400 in charges.

More than half of the money was spent at Bartell Drugs on Dec. 23, according to KCPQ. Although a security camera caught the suspect wheeling a cart-load of merchandise through the store, investigators have been unsuccessful in determining his identity.

The news station shared video of the suspect, dressed in all black with peroxide blonde hair, pushing the loaded cart out of the store.

Anyone with information on the suspect's identity is asked to contact police. Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound is offering a cash reward up to $1,000 for information that leads to the man's arrest.
