Former nurse Heather Pressdee entered this morning guilty pleas to dozens of charges at the Butler County Courthouse.
The serial killer pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree murder and 19 counts of attempted homicide.
In all, 17 patients in five facilities died from insulin overdoses she administered.
Five other victims survived.
Attorney Robert Pierce, who represents five of the victim's families, was in the courtroom and called KDKA Radio's Marty Griffin.
“She’s plead guilty to multiple charges and Heather Pressdee will be going away to jail for the rest of her life, multiple times over,” said
The 41-year-old was sentenced to three consecutive life terms.
At least nine wrongful death lawsuits have been filed by victims' families against the nursing homes that employed Pressdee.
