Losing a stuffed animal or a similar valuable personal belonging can be devastating to a child, as parents will often jump through hoops to find the item or do their best to replace it.

The Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport recently found a missing teddy bear, but now needs the internet's help to get it back to the rightful owner.

Airport officials said that the teddy bear belonged to a person traveling in or out of the city on Jan. 4.

This teddy bear is truly a special item because it's one that is often given to children who are born with congenital heart defects.

"How special he must be. Let's get him home," the airport tweeted on Feb. 7.

Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport hopes to return the teddy bear to its owner as soon as possible.

UPDATE:

Luckily, it appears the search is over! The airport provided an update on Wednesday afternoon, saying that the owner has been found and they are currently working on retuning the teddy bear.
