Neiman Marcus Christmas book released

Neiman Marcus is out with its Christmas book, a sign of normality in an otherwise abnormal year.

For more than a century, the Dallas luxury retailer has published a catalog of unusual, or unusually expensive, trinkets to put under the Christmas tree.

However, in light of the times, this year's book puts its emphasis on travelling where the crowds are less. For example, there's a luxury off-the-grid electric RV going for more than a quarter-of-a-million dollars.

For those who still want to shelter-in-place because of the Coronavirus, there's a $145,000 game room created by interior designer Jonathon Adler.

Jewelry is always popular and this year, the book includes a limited-edition Chanel diamond watch going for more than $14,000.

The Christmas book is slimmed down this year from last year's 300 pages to 148 this year, befitting a company that emerged from Chapter 11 in September.
