The iconic hotdog vehicle known as the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile was left in a dire state on Tuesday when it crashed while traveling through Chicago, police shared.
Illinois State Police told NBC News that the crash happened at 11:12 a.m. when the Weinermobile struck a Hyundai Sedan on Interstate 294.
After striking the sedan, the Weinermobile lost control while the driver overcorrected and rolled onto its side, police shared.
The crash did not result in any injuries.
Photos of the hotdog-designed car quickly began circulating online, showing the orange and yellow vehicle being hauled away on the platform of a semi-truck and sitting turned over on the interstate.
One video appeared to show someone trying to exit the vehicle while it was on its side.
The Wienermobile tracker website showed its next stop was in the Chicago area on July 27.
The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile travels year-round and uses “six different hot dogs on wheels driving around the country at all times,” the tracking website said.
