BREAKING: Over 130 Secret Service agents for Trump, White House in isolation after testing positive for COVID-19

The Washington Post reported Friday that more than 130 Secret Service agents are in isolation after testing positive for the coronavirus. These are agents assigned to protecting President Trump or the White House.

About 10 percent of the agency's team has been taken off duty due to an outbreak linked to numerous campaign rallies the president held in the weeks before the election on November 3.

"Being down more than 100 officers is very problematic," a former senior Secret Service supervisor told The Post.

"That does not bode well for White House security," the Secret Service member said.

President Trump, the first lady, and their son Barron all had COVID-19.
Several others in the West Wing and on Trump's campaign tested positive as well -- chief of staff Mark Meadows, HUD Secretary Ben Carson and senior campaign adviser Corey Lewandowski, as well as adviser David Bossie, who was recently named as the head of the president's legal battle.

According to the Washington Post report, another eight staffers at the Republican National Committee have also tested positive for the virus.
