With a name like Smuckers, it's gotta be good, but it didn't necessarily have to be modern ... until now.
Smuckers announced it is giving its iconic jams and fruit spreads a modernized makeover for the first time since the 1990s.
The revamp will include new packaging that features a more contemporary design with a focus on "highlighting the fruit on the front label while retaining the familiar gingham pattern on the lids."
The update aims to connect the products to modern eating moments and the full Smucker's portfolio, including Uncrustables and Jif peanut butter.
Despite the fresh look, the taste of the products will remain unchanged, with the new jars set to debut this spring.
This change comes on the heels of Smuckers announcing its latest quarterly revenue showed net sales of $2.3 billion, an increase of $153.4 million, or 7 percent.
“Our business continues to deliver strong results in a dynamic external environment. In the third quarter, net sales and adjusted earnings per share exceeded our expectations, reflecting the strength of our portfolio of leading brands, along with our disciplined cost management,” said Mark Smucker, Chief Executive Officer, President and Chair of the Board.
“We continue to advance our focused strategy centered around engaging and delighting consumers by participating in attractive categories, building brands consumers love, and being everywhere the consumer shops."
