Barry died at her home on Fifth Avenue, according to the New York Times , which cited multiple sources.
The NYPD confirmed that an 86-year-old woman was found dead at Barry's address on Fifth Avenue by crews responding to a report of a person in cardiac arrest.
The woman was found unresponsive inside a bedroom and pronounced dead at the scene, according to police, who didn't identify her by name.
The cause of her death wasn't immediately clear, but police said there were no apparent signs of trauma. The medical examiner will investigate further.
