Former Miss USA, Cheslie Kryst, jumps to her death from Midtown building

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Former Miss USA, Cheslie Kryst, died after jumping from a Midtown condominium building on Sunday morning, police said.

The 30-year-old pageant winner and lawyer fell from the 60-floor Orion building on West 42nd Street around 7:15 a.m. Kryst lived on the 9th floor of the building and was last seen on the 29th floor terrace.

Kryst was found dead in the street below.

“In devastation and great sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved Cheslie," Kryst's family said in a statement. “Her great light was one that inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength. She cared, she loved, she laughed and she shined."
