(WBEN) - “It’s almost unavoidable.”
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich joined WBEN to talk about how the Coronavirus crisis has become yet another political battleground.
“Ever since election night in 2016, the depth of hostility on both sides has been so great,” Gingrich said. “The right gets up every morning and they deeply dislike Schumer and Pelosi and the New York Times, and the left gets up every morning and they hate Trump.”
Gingrich, who joined WBEN from Rome where he is in quarantine, is among those who think the virus will result in significant societal changes.
“I think people are going to be much more used to working from home… you’re going to see a lot more emphasis on public health.”
