CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A person was hit by a Metra Union Pacific North train Monday in north suburban Highwood.
The incident happened about 10:30 p.m. near Green Bay Road and Washington Avenue just past the Highwood station, a Metra spokesperson confirmed. Highwood Police and Fire departments could not be reached for comment.
Inbound and outbound trains are moving with extensive delays.
