
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A fire in northwest suburban Port Barrington last week injured one person and caused thousands of dollars in damages.
Crews were called about 12:45 p.m. July 5 to the 200 block of Manchester Lane and found smoke and fire in a garage, the Wauconda Fire Department said.
A truck capable of transporting water was called to the scene as there were no fire hydrants in the vicinity, the fire department said. The blaze was under control within 30 minutes.
One person was treated on the scene for a minor injury, the fire department said. The fire caused about $100,000 in damages.
