David Haugh (2-5): Chargers 28, Bears 24
The Bagency opens in L.A., in front of a national audience, but the difference will come down to the Chargers being more desperate and playing at home. Justin Herbert will live up to his reputation against an improving Bears defense. Tyson Bagent will play well, but something about Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa rushing the passer scares me.

Danny Parkins (2-5): Chargers 30, Bears 26
Bears +8.5 is a pretty good bet this week. The Bears can run the ball, and there’s no home-field advantage to speak of for L.A. The Chargers also always seem to have bad losses, and this would certainly qualify. Brandon Staley’s seat might be hotter than Matt Eberflus’. Having said all that, I don’t have the heart to pick an outright upset.

Matt Spiegel (5-2): Chargers 27, Bears 24
Tyson Bagent plays just fine. But one mistake late dooms him, and it costs the Bears points. Bears cover, is that a win? (No.)

Chris Tannehill (3-4): Chargers 34, Bears 30
Only the Jaguars have given up more passing yards than the Chargers have this season. I think this game will come down to Tyson Bagent’s deep ball and whether he can match Justin Herbert in a shootout. I’ve liked a lot on both sides of the ball for the Bears lately, but this game specifically has some matchup problems for our beloved.

Adam Studzinski (2-5): Chargers 23, Bears 22
Predicting what this Bears team will do is an impossibility that I refuse to take seriously or put a lot of thought into. It'll be a close game because every Chargers game is the same.

Chris Emma (4-3): Chargers 27, Bears 24
The Bears haven’t won consecutive games since the end of the 2021 season and never have since the Matt Eberflus era began. It won't happen Sunday night either, as the Chargers are a flawed-but-talented team. Tyson Bagent will lead the Bears efficiently once again but will do so in a losing effort.

Evan Thomas (5-2): Chargers 37, Bears 21
Let’s see what Tyson Bagent can do in his second start. I’m not sure which Bears team we will get this week, so I’m taking the Chargers to win.

Kevin Lapka (2-5): Chargers 31, Bears 13
The Chargers are a good football team with a bad record. I fear another Sunday Night Football letdown for the Bears as the Chargers have full game tape on Tyson Bagent now to game plan with and head coach Brandon Staley is desperately coaching for his job. Khalil Mack records three sacks and Justin Herbert returns to form as the Chargers hand it to the Bears on the primetime stage.
