(670 The Score) The Bears on Thursday activated receiver Equanimeous St. Brown and defensive back Josh Blackwell from injured reserve ahead of their game against the Panthers at Soldier Field in the evening.
Notably, the Bears didn’t activate running back Khalil Herbert from injured reserve. Like St. Brown and Blackwell, Herbert was recently designated for a return from injured reserve, which opened up his window to practice. He has been sidelined since suffering an ankle injury in a game on Oct. 5.
With Herbert out, D’Onta Foreman will continue to lead the Bears’ backfield with rookie Roschon Johnson in line behind him.
In other moves Thursday, the Bears elevated linebacker Micah Baskerville and tight end Stephen Carlson from the practice squad to the active roster. Chicago also downgraded cornerback Tyrique Stevenson to questionable to play as he deals with an ankle injury.
The Bears (2-7) and Panthers (1-7) kick off at 7:15 p.m. Thursday.
