Bears are set to get key reinforcements back from injury

(670 The Score) The Bears are set to welcome back key reinforcements against the Commanders on Monday Night Football.

Bears nickel cornerback Kyler Gordon intends to play Monday, he told reporters Tuesday. It will mark his 2025 season debut after he missed the first four games with a hamstring injury.

“Obviously, I love playing ball, being out there and being in the building, being able to actually contribute to the team,” Gordon said. “It’s annoying not to be able to do that. Now, I’ll finally be able to do that.”

The Bears also expect linebacker T.J. Edwards to return after he missed three of the first four games with a hamstring injury. Edwards played part of Chicago's loss at Detroit on Sept. 14 before reaggravating his hamstring injury in that contest. He missed the season opener and the last two games.

Bears right tackle Darnell Wright (elbow), defensive tackle Grady Jarrett (knee), tight end Colston Loveland (hip), safety Jaquan Brisker (undisclosed) and kicker Cairo Santos (undisclosed) didn't practice Tuesday during the portion of the session open to the media. The team will issue its first injury report of the week Thursday.

The Bears also returned defensive end Austin Booker and running back Travis Homer to practice Tuesday, opening their 21-day windows to be activated from injured reserve.

The Bears (3-2) and Commanders (3-2) will play Monday at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland.
