(670 The Score) Pro Bowl cornerback Jaylon Johnson returned to Bears practice as a full participant Wednesday. The team held a walkthrough, so the injury report was an estimation of a full practice.
Johnson missed the Bears' season opener Monday while dealing with injuries to his calf and groin, which he suffered while training during July.
"Jaylon is one of the best, if not the best corner in the league," Bears safety Kevin Byard said. "He’s a shutdown corner. You can just put him on their top receiver, and you don’t have to worry about him. He’s a leader on our defense as well. He brings a certain swagger, personality to our huddle, our defense and our team. So, obviously, if you can get a guy like him back, it’s huge for us."
Bears linebacker T.J. Edwards (hamstring), running back Roschon Johnson (foot), cornerback Josh Blackwell (groin) and receiver Jahdae Walker (ankle) were limited participants Wednesday. Nickelback Kyler Gordon (hamstring) and defensive tackle Grady Jarrett (knee) didn't practice.
The Bears (0-1) will take on the Lions (0-1) on Sunday at Ford Field in Detroit.
