(670 The Score) Bears cornerback Nahshon Wright is heading to the Pro Bowl.
After being left out of the Pro Bowl Games initially, Wright on Monday was named to replace Eagles cornerback Quinyon Mitchell on the roster.
This marks the first time that Wright has earned Pro Bowl honors. He had a breakout 2025 season, logging five interceptions in his first opportunity as a full-time starter at cornerback.
As Wright has mentioned previously, playing in the Pro Bowl Games is especially meaningful given that the event is hosted in the Bay Area, where he's from.
The Bears signed Wright to a one-year deal last April, just one day after he was released by the Vikings. He spent his first three NFL seasons with the Cowboys, who selected him in the third round in 2021, before playing for the Vikings in 2024.
Wright had one interception in three starts his first four NFL seasons. After being cast aside by the Vikings, he thrived with a regular role for the Bears.
“I had faith,” Wright said. “What’s for me is for me. I don’t think I ever doubted myself in terms of what my future would be.”
Wright led the NFL with eight total takeaways, adding three fumble recoveries to his five interceptions.
Wright joined Bears safety Kevin Byard, left guard Joe Thuney and center Drew Dalman in earning Pro Bowl honors this season.
The Pro Bowl Games will be held Feb. 3.
