LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) — Bears pass rusher Montez Sweat returned to practice Thursday as a limited participant while dealing with a shin injury.
Sweat exited Chicago's 18-15 loss at Washington on Sunday with the injury, which meant he wasn't on the field as the Bears surrendered a game-deciding 52-yard Hail Mary touchdown as time expired. Sweat has 3.5 sacks this season.
Bears guard Ryan Bates (shoulder) was also limited in practice. He hasn't yet been activated for a return from injured reserve. Left tackle Braxton Jones (knee), left guard Teven Jenkins (knee), nickel cornerback Kyler Gordon (hamstring), safety Jaquan Brisker (concussion) and offensive tackle Kiran Amegadjie (calf) didn't practice Thursday.
The Bears could activate offensive tackle Larry Borom (ankle) from injured reserve by Saturday, which would add depth and another option to their banged-up offensive line. Borom has been a full participant in practice this week.
The Bears (4-3) visit the Arizona Cardinals (4-4) on Sunday, with kickoff set for 3:05 p.m. CT from State Farm Stadium.
