Bears' Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze still sidelined from practice

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) The Bears could be without a pair of key offensive weapons Sunday night.

Bears veteran receiver Keenan Allen (heel) and rookie receiver Rome Odunze (MCL sprain) were each sidelined from practice Thursday, marking the second straight day they didn't take the field.

Allen has been dealing with his heel injury since late in the preseason. Bears head coach Matt Eberflus indicated the solution is a matter of rest for Allen, though the team continues to evaluate his status.

"Hopefully the rest helps," Eberflus said. "(But) I can’t say it definitively right now."

Odunze suffered his MCL sprain in Chicago's win against Tennessee on Sunday while he was blocking along the boundary.

Bears guard Ryan Bates (shoulder/elbow), fullback Khari Blasingame (hand/knee) and tight end Marcedes Lewis (rest) also didn't practice Thursday. Offensive tackle Kiran Amegadjie (quad) and defensive lineman DeMarcus Walker (foot) were limited participants. Defensive tackle Zacch Pickens (groin) worked in full.

The Bears (1-0) and Texans (1-0) kick off at 7:20 p.m. CT on Sunday from NRG Stadium in Houston.
