(670 The Score) Bears receiver Rome Odunze on Wednesday took a promising step toward returning to action against the Browns on Sunday.
Odunze was listed as a limited participant for Wednesday on the Bears' injury report. That was an estimation of a full practice because the team conducted a walkthrough. Odunze is dealing with a stress fracture in his foot.
The Bears' leading receiver, Odunze didn't practice last week and was held out of Chicago's 28-21 loss at Green Bay on Sunday. He leads the Bears with 44 receptions for 661 yards and six touchdowns this season.
The Bears continue to be without nickelback Kyler Gordon, who suffered a groin injury during pregame warmups Sunday at Lambeau Field. Speaking Wednesday, head coach Ben Johnson didn't seem optimistic about Gordon's status for the remainder of the season.
"Coming out of that one, it didn't look very good," Johnson said.
Gordon has played in just three games this season while dealing with injuries to his calf, hamstring and groin.
The Bears' injury report also included cornerback Tyrique Stevenson (hip) and receiver Olamide Zaccheaus (hamstring) as limited participants, while running back Travis Homer (ankle) didn't practice.
The Bears (9-4) and Browns (3-10) will kick off at noon CT on Sunday from Soldier Field.
