LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- The Bears on Thursday placed receiver N'Keal Harry on injured reserve.

Harry will be required to miss a minimum of four games before he's eligible to return. He suffered an ankle injury during a practice on Aug. 6 while landing awkwardly on a play.

A first-round pick of the Patriots in 2019, Harry was acquired by the Bears in a trade in July that sent a seventh-round pick back to New England. He had 57 receptions for 598 yards and four touchdowns over three seasons with the Patriots.

The Bears also placed receiver Tajae Sharpe (ribs) on injured reserve Wednesday. He's expected to miss the entire season, coach Matt Eberflus said.

In other moves Thursday, the Bears signed linebacker Joe Thomas and offensive lineman Kellen Diesch to their practice squad. That brought the practice squad to its 16-man limit.
