(670 The Score) Bears quarterback Justin Fields will miss his third straight game while recovering from a dislocated right thumb.

Fields has been ruled out of Chicago's game at New Orleans this upcoming Sunday, head coach Matt Eberflus told reporters Monday at Halas Hall. His health is considered "week-to-week," Eberflus said. Rookie Tyson Bagent will make his third NFL start in Fields' absence.

Fields suffered the injury early in the third quarter of the Bears' loss to the Vikings on Oct. 15. He hasn't returned to practice yet, though the Bears believe he's progressing.

Bagent was 25-of-37 for 232 yards and two interceptions during the Bears' 30-13 loss to the Chargers on Sunday night at SoFi Stadium.

In other injury news, Bears safety Jaquan Brisker has entered the NFL's concussion protocol, Eberflus said. Brisker was cleared of the protocol last week but then reported an illness. He didn't travel with the Bears to Los Angeles over the weekend.

The Bears (2-6) take on the Saints (4-4) on Sunday at noon CT at the Caesars Superdome.
