(670 The Score) The Bears have re-signed backup quarterback Nathan Peterman on a one-year deal.

Peterman, 28, spent last season with the Bears. He played parts of three games and started the team's season finale. Peterman was 14-of-25 for 139 yards, one touchdown and one interception for the season.

A six-year NFL veteran, Peterman has played in 13 career games, starting five. He has completed 53.1% of his passes for 712 yards, four touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

Peterman is expected to be the Bears' third quarterback on the depth chart behind starter Justin Fields and backup PJ Walker, whom Chicago signed to a two-year deal earlier in March.
