(670 The Score) The Bears will have a new kicker against the Commanders on Monday Night Football.
Kicker Cairo Santos has been ruled out due to a thigh injury. The Bears will instead turn to kicker Jake Moody, whom they elevated from the practice squad.
Santos practiced in full last week but was still listed as questionable to play. He wasn't feeling well enough to go, leading the Bears to Moody, whom Chicago signed in September after he was released by the San Francisco 49ers.
Moody, 25 was a third-round pick of the 49ers in the 2023 NFL Draft. He was 46-of-62 on field-goal attempts (74.2%) in his career before being released one game into this season.
The Bears' other inactives are defensive lineman Grady Jarrett (knee), receiver Jahdae Walker, defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon, linebacker Ruben Hyppolite, guard Luke Newman quarterback Case Keenum, who's available as the team's emergency third quarterback.
The Commanders ruled out star receiver Terry McLaurin (quad) on Saturday.
Kickoff between the Bears (2-2) and Commanders (3-2) will be at 7:15 p.m. CT on Monday from Northwest Stadium.
