(670 The Score) The Bears bolstered their pass rush Monday evening, as they agreed with edge rusher DeMarcus Walker on a three-year deal, according to a source.
Walker, 28, had a career-best seven sacks for the Titans in 2022. He's a six-year NFL veteran with 19.5 career sacks. His deal with Chicago is set to pay him $7 million annually, according to NFL Network.
A second-round pick of the Broncos in 2017, Walker played four seasons in Denver and then one in Houston before joining Tennessee last season.
Walker was the third key addition to the Bears’ defense Monday, which officially marked the start of the negotiation window in free agency. The Bears also landed two-time Pro Bowl linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and linebacker T.J. Edwards.
Contracts with new teams can officially be signed beginning Wednesday at 3 p.m. CT, when the new league year starts.
