(670 The Score) Bears assistant general manager Ian Cunningham will interview once again with the Jaguars on Friday for their general manager position, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated reported.
Cunningham has interviewed previously with the Jaguars. He's considered a "strong candidate" in Jacksonville, according to Breer.
Cunningham has served as the Bears’ assistant general manager since 2022, when he was hired on by current general manager Ryan Poles.
Cunningham has been a general manager candidate in past hiring cycles, though he has remained with the Bears. Cunningham previously worked for the Ravens (2008-'16) and Eagles (2017-'21) before joining the Bears.
“He can be an NFL GM, and he can be a CEO of a Fortune 500 company,” Eagles general manager Howie Roseman told 670 The Score of Cunningham in August. “That’s the way his mind processes information.
“The ultimate compliment I can give Ian is that I'm a better GM because I worked with Ian Cunningham.”
The Jaguars fired general manager Trent Baalke on Jan. 22 to create the opening in their front office. Jacksonville has since hired Liam Coen as its new head coach.
The Jaguars' job is the last general manager position currently open in this NFL hiring cycle.
