(670 The Score) Bears receiver N’Keal Harry is expected to miss eight weeks after undergoing ankle surgery Thursday morning, Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network reported.
Harry suffered a high ankle sprain in practice Saturday and had to be helped off the field. If the eight-week timeline holds true, it means Harry will miss at least the Bears’ first four regular-season games – and quite possibly more as he'd still need time to work himself back into top shape and form upon his return to the practice field.
A first-round pick of the Patriots in 2019, Harry was acquired by the Bears in exchange for a seventh-round pick in a trade in July. He had 58 receptions for 598 yards and four touchdowns over three seasons and 33 games in New England.
The Bears are dealing with a string of injuries at wide receiver, as Bryon Pringle (quad) and David Moore (leg) are also banged up.
