(670 The Score) The Bears waived receivers Riley Ridley and Dazz Newsome on Tuesday as they made cuts and set their initial 53-man roster.

Those two were among the most notable players the Bears let go of Tuesday. Chicago also released veteran cornerback Desmond Trufant.

A fourth-round pick of the Bears in 2019, Ridley had 10 catches in 10 games during his two seasons in Chicago. Newsome was selected in the sixth round of the NFL Draft this past spring. He missed much of the offseason program with a shoulder injury.
